The Clayton Frost Memorial Award was presented in 1946 to one outstanding state president,. It was the expanded in 1948 to recognize five outstanding state presidents. The awrd is named in honor of Clayton frost of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, former North Carolina state president who died in 1946 in an automobile accident while returning from the installation of a new Chapter.
